Palladium Atasehir Shopping Mall has become one of the most popular on the Anatolian side of Istambul and receives 10M visitors a year. We transformed palladium’s Food court and created a wow effect concept in the emplematic Sphere.
We wanted to enhance the Food Court experience as an alternative to traditional food courts and to satisfy different target groups by implementing a series of leisure icons: Playground for kids, seat and play area for kids and parents, meeting places for young people and relaxing areas for business people. We complemented the modern and emblematic atmosphere of the building with other elements that provide more diversity, verticality and dynamism.
The inspiration
The market was changing globally, since customers expect shopping to be an event and an experience, developers and shopping centre managers are focused more and more on providing memorable and meaningful experiences for customers. The main goal in this project was to surpass competitors in the region by providing a unique food court: traducion in a modern way.
Turkish culture is a culture of RELATIONSHIPS and SOCIALISING. We tried to morph the design around the millenial old customs, way of life and behaviours. Our aim was to follow the trace of tradition and transport customers to their favourites haunts referencing the labyrinthine markets, the peaceful tea gardens,coffee houses but in a modern way addressing to a CONTEMPORARY URBAN COMMUNITY.
